Formed in early 2010 the concept and goal of the band was simple; To provide something for everyone in the crowd no matter where the venue by drawing on popular songs that are rarely performed by other local bands but never forgotten. SHINOLA draws on such diverse acts like Bowie and Maroon 5,The Baby’s and also rocks with the best of them playing Anthrax, Ozzy and Black Label Society. Mixed in with popular current songs from Stone Temple Pilots, Shinedown, Alice in Chains, Gavin Degraw, Daughtry, Saving Abel, Alter Bridge and many more. Guitarist Darren Laack formerly of Rent’s Due and Gear Box hails from Sheyboygan,WI. and joined forces with Eddie Martinez (vocals) from Detroit who were in the Band Silent Scream when he relocated to Milwaukee,WI. in the late 90′s. Chuck Fabian (bass) formerly of the band Black Bird Seat was recruited . Eddie and Chuck had performed in a project a few years back and he knew that this collection of players would be more than just a band. Scott Blackford joined the band after leaving his former band Tattooed which comprise SHINOLA’S current lineup. We have decided that we don’t want to play songs other bands play. We want to play popular songs that have been lost in the midst as well as new rock. A tantalizing taste of music for any rock and roll fan, our live shows have proven to be fun filled and entertaining for all.
